The Kentucky Documentary Photographic Project is the state’s third photographic recording done in 40-year increments.

Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, the work builds on the Farm Security Administration (1935–1943) and the Kentucky Documentary Photographic Project (1975–1977). Twenty four photographers roamed the state recording the landscape and how Kentuckians live, work and play. Each assigned different counties to create a contemporary visual record of all 120 counties in the state.

The finished project will be presented as a book, exhibitions and a permanent collection. One of 24 photographers, this is a small sample of the work I submitted for the seven eastern counties I was assigned.
